This is a wonderful small set of designs, which will give you many options and also demonstrate a number
of different machine embroidery techniques from one design only. The designs can be stitched in different
colors or one design can be stitched with different shades of one color. The two free standing appliqué
and cutwork designs can be embroidered as a normal appliqué design or a cutwork design on a background
fabric too.

Monica Powell used the cutwork design on the front neckline of a dress. She used Coats Mercerized Cotton,
as she did not want the sheen of the embroidery thread and wanted it to look part of the pale blue linen
fabric. Please e-mail Monica.
