Swarovski Crystals to buy
|
A Crystal kit for this set of designs is available at Design by Dawn. There are enough crystals in
the kit to create two of each design.
|
This is ideal for beginners and for people who don't want to buy a whole packet of each size crystal.
These mixed size packages will sell for $11 and $10 each, depending on the color of crystals.
Colors
that are available in the small packages are: Fire Opal Smoked Topaz Crystal Tabac
Amethyst Fuchsia Rose
|
If you look at these enlarged images with the crystals on, you will notice that the crystals are smaller
than the actual flower center. I have found that the crystals show off better if one can see the gold
metallic center of the flower too. It then looks as if the crystals have a gold rim. The flower centers
are also stitched with a fill - or step stitch, as the glue underneath the crystals will bond better
to the fill stitches, than to loose satin stitches.

I bought a number of blank shirts to embroider, but I didn't have time to embroider these designs on
the clothes yet. What I had in mind, was more or less what Joan did with the outfit that she has made.
The designs that are meant to be embroidered on cuffs, will work very well in a panel, between pin-tucks
too.
