These outline designs are ideal for art projects and can also be embroidered on almost any paper, paper fabric, coffee filters and can also be used as raw appliqué on quilt blocks and on art quilts. The leaves can also be stitched on synthetic fabric and the raw edges can be burnt with a soldering iron. Embroider a number of leaves so you will have a nice supply of leaves to play with when you start working on your project. Step by step instructions are included for some projects. A table runner and placemats I made with these designs. A quilt can be made in the same
manner or pattern. I never work with patterns and create my own patterns with the
fabric I have available. This project is ideal to use your ugly fabrics too! The printed
fabric was so ugly and definitely more than10 years old and on the runner and
placemats and with the other colors that I have added, it doesn't look so ugly anymore.

These leaves were made with paper from potato bags. A similar arrangement, with the leaves embroidered on fabric can also be used to make a pillow or a round table centre piece.

This is how you can use the paper leaves to cover a book or album. By starting in the right upper corner and by using Modge Podge, you can cover the whole page in this manner. To make the project more durable, coat all the leaves with Modge Podge afterwards.
